Lucy Cavendish College

SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Professor Dorothy Mary Emmet, Emeritus Fellow and Trustee of Lucy Cavendish College, will be held on Saturday, 18 November 2000 in Warburton Hall, Lucy Cavendish College, at 2.30 p.m. Gowns will be worn.

LUCY CAVENDISH EDUCATION FORUM

An Inaugual Lecture, entitled Diversity in higher education, will be given by Baroness Perry of Southwark, President of Lucy Cavendish College, at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 November, in the Wood-Legh Room, Strathaird House, Lucy Cavendish College. STUDENT FINANCE OFFICER

The College wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient person to continue the development and administration of student financial services within the College. The person should be a good communicator, able to quickly get to grips with the financial and administrative processes associated with student fees and other HEI student finance reporting, and at ease liasing with a wide range of external student support organizations. Relevant IT experience is essential (including use of Word, Excel, and Access), as is willingness to use more specialized software.

The responsibilities and development of the post are only limited by the flair, imagination, and practical capabilities of the candidate: the area of student support and financial administration is continuously changing and the College intends to remain at the forefront of innovative support provision. The duties of this post could be rearranged so as not to be a full-time position. The salary will be negotiable according to experience.
