FIXED-TERM FELLOWSHIP OR STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN ECONOMICS

New College invites applications for a non-renewable, three-year, fixed-term Fellowship or a one-year stipendiary Lectureship in Economics to teach up to twelve hours in the schools of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) and Management, and to start as soon as possible. An ability to teach Macro-Economics is essential and the successful candidate will be expected also to teach other papers in which they have a competence.

The stipend for the Fellowship will be £23,853, together with the housing, book, research, and entertainment allowances normal for a tutorial Fellowship. The stipend for the Lectureship will be £15,334 (point one of the University Junior Lecturer scale), together with a research allowance of £290, a book allowance of £420, and an entertainment allowance of £125. The person appointed will be a member of the Senior Common Room and entitled to full rights of commons during term and vacation.

Those who have applied for the two-term Lectureship in Economics advertised recently will automatically be considered for these posts. Applicants will be considered for both posts (unless they specify that they are interested only in one). It is envisaged that the choice between the two positions will be made according to the qualifications and experience of the applicants.
