Magdalene College

GKN LECTURE IN MANAGEMENT

The annual GKN Lecture in Management will be given this year by the Bishop of Durham, the Rt Revd Michael Turnbull, who will speak to Managing the Church of England. The lecture is at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 23 November, in the Benson Hall. Senior and junior members are welcome. Admission is by ticket, available from the Praelector's Secretary at the College.

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The College seeks to appoint a full-time Development Officer for up to five years from 1 January 2001, to assist the Bursar and Development Director with the College's fund-raising campaign. Responsibilities will include campaign publications, events, correspondence, database administration, liaison with the Magdalene Association, and committee work for the College's London Committee and the Wyvern Trustees. An important aspect of the post will be the organization of activities to strengthen and develop ties between the College and its non-resident members. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and IT skills and may be a recent graduate. The pensionable salary (dependent upon experience) will be in the region of £16,000 to £18,000 a year. The closing date for applications is Friday, 10 November 2000
