Regulations for Degree Committees: Notice by the General Board

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Council of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and with the concurrence of the Board of Graduate Studies and the Degree Committees concerned, they have agreed to the establishment of a Degree Committee for International Studies. The Degree Committee will be responsible, in the first instance, for Graduate Students who are candidates for the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course) Examinations in International Relations and in Latin-American Studies, and for students registered for the M.St. Examination in International Relations. In due course the Degree Committee will also be responsible for Graduate Students, registered as candidates for research degrees, who are working on relevant subjects of research. The General Board have also approved a constitution for the Degree Committee.

The following institutions have accordingly been added to the Schedule to the Regulations for Degree Committees (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 511) with effect from 1 October 2000:

Centres of International Studies and Latin-American Studies
