PART-TIME STUDENT ADVISER

Oxford University Student Union has a vacancy for a part-time Student Adviser. The Adviser supports the Vice-Presidents, Welfare, Women, Graduates, and Access and Academic Affairs in providing an impartial listening and advice service to all students at Oxford University. The main duty of the post-holder will be advising undergraduate and graduate students on such diverse issues as finance, accommodation, and changing course or College, and referring them on to other agencies where appropriate. The post will be for twenty hours a week. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the needs, perspectives, and requirements of students at Oxford University, an understanding of the collegiate University system, and sound administrative skills, including basic knowledge of word processing, e-mail, and the internet, although full training in the specific packages used will be given. The salary will be £11,445, pro rata.
