The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has accepted with gratitude a benefaction of £5,000 given to the University by AT&T Cambridge Laboratories to fund a prize in Communications Engineering, to be awarded on the results of the examination for Part II of the Electrical and Information Sciences Tripos. The Council are submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 1, p. 1024) for the approval of regulations to govern the proposed prize.
