REGIUS PROFESSORSHIP OF MEDICINE

A Regius Professor of Medicine is due to be appointed by Her Majesty the Queen with effect from as early a date as possible in the academic year 2000-01. A Professorial Fellowship (technically known under the College Statutes as an Ordinary Studentship) at Christ Church is attached to the Professorship.

Suitably qualified persons wishing to submit their names for consideration are invited to do so not later than 25 September 2000, sending their applications (ten copies, or one only if from overseas), together with the names and addresses of three referees who have agreed to act on this occasion, to the Registrar of the University, Mr D. R. Holmes, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford, OX1 2JD, from whom further particulars of the Professorship may be obtained. New Dictionary of National Biography

Applications, with three references, are invited by 31 July 2000, for five new research staff: Research Editor (literature, 1780-1990), Research Editor (seventeenth century), Research Editor (sixteenth or seventeenth century), Research Editor (seventeenth or eighteenth century), and Bibliographical Researcher, to work from as early a date as possible until 31 March 2002 on the Research I (A or B) scale: £16,286 - £20,811 (B), £16,286 - £24,479 (A).
