The College hopes to elect not later than 1 January 2001 to the above Fellowship, with tenure from 1 October 2001. Candidates may be either men or women and should be graduates of, or graduate students at, a university in the British Isles. There is a preference for candidates under twenty-eight years of age but older applicants are not excluded. The tenure of the Fellowship will be for three years. The post-holder will be permitted to do a limited amount of teaching for the College, but would require the permission of the Governing Body to undertake other paid work. The stipend currently ranges from £15,361 to £16,286 and is reviewed annually. Further financial particulars are available on request.
Applications, which are due by 8 September 2000, should only be made on forms obtainable from the Senior Tutor's Secretary, Pembroke College, Cambridge, CB2 1RF (e-mail pat.whitby@pem.cam.ac.uk). These stipulate the details required.
