PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER

Environmental Change Institute

An enthusiastic and experienced person is sought to fill the role of Public Affairs Officer on either a full-time or part-time basis for the Environmental Change Institute. The ECI is a growing Institute specializing in research and teaching in environmental issues. It currently has a staff of around twenty-five researchers and five support staff.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of key environmental issues, excellent written and oral communication skills, well proven organizational skills, experience in the design and editing of publications, and the ability to work within tight budgets. The ideal applicant would hold a Master's degree in an environmental field, and be familiar with a desk top publishing package, such as Adobe Pagemaker. The work is very varied and the successful candidate should be prepared to deal with a number of projects simultaneously. The salary will be £18,915 - £24,479 (Administrative, Grade 2, scale).
