Jesus College

SCHOOLS LIAISON OFFICER

As part of an initiative to increase the number of applicants from regions and social groups which are under-represented in the intake of Jesus College, the College seeks to appoint a Schools Liaison Officer who will assist the Tutor for Admissions in the administration of this initiative. The post will be held on a part-time basis (up to three days a week is currently envisaged) for a period of three years and will be paid pro rata on academic-related scale 1 or 2, £16,286 to £24,479 a year (to be reviewed from April 2000).

The post requires knowledge of the undergraduate system (preferably first-hand). Experience of the British state education system would be an advantage. Candidates must be willing to travel and to be flexible as evening and weekend work may be required. IT skills are essential. The College hopes to appoint from 1 October 2000 or as soon as possible thereafter. Flexible starting date and working arrangements will be considered.

Further details are available from the Tutorial Administrator, Jesus College, Oxford, OX1 3DW (tel. 01865 279720, e-mail dprice@jesus.ox.ac.uk), to whom applications should be sent by Friday, 23 June 2000.
