Supplements to pensions (FSSU): Notice

The Council give notice, on the authorization of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals and in accordance with the Pensions Increase (Review) Order 2000, of increases in the supplementation of pensions of retired University officers under the FSSU superannuation scheme, to be made with effect from 10 April 2000. For the purpose of determining the approved pension for retired University officers and hence their eligibility to receive a supplement under Regulation 6 or Regulation 10 of the regulations for supplements to pensions (Ordinances, 1979, p. 116), the method of calculation will be amended as follows:

With effect from 10 April 2000 each pension calculated in accordance with either Regulation 7 or Regulation 9 of the regulations for supplements to pensions, as increased by Notices of the Council (see Reporter, 1998-99, p. 535, for the most recent such Notice), will be further increased as follows:

For officers who retired

before 25 April 1999, by 1.10 per cent;

between 26 April and 25 May 1999, by 1.01 per cent;

between 26 May and 25 June 1999, by 0.92 per cent;

between 26 June and 25 July 1999, by 0.83 per cent;

between 26 July and 25 August 1999, by 0.73 per cent;

between 26 August and 25 September 1999, by 0.64 per cent;

between 26 September and 25 October 1999, by 0.55 per cent;

between 26 October and 25 November 1999, by 0.46 per cent;

between 26 November and 25 December 1999, by 0.37 per cent;

between 26 December 1999 and 25 January 2000, by 0.28 per cent;

between 26 January and 25 February 2000, by 0.18 per cent;

between 26 February and 25 March 2000, by 0.09 per cent;

after 26 March 2000, nil.
