St John's College

STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIPS IN LAW

Applications are invited from suitably qualified men and women for two stipendiary Lectureships in Law, with effect from 1 October 2000.The Lectureships will each be for one year. Each Lecturer will be required to teach for up to six hours a week. The College requires teaching in contract law, the law of torts, land law, and the law of trusts. Applicants for each Lectureship would be expected to teach any two of these subjects, the expectation being that an applicant is likely to wish to teach contract law and the law of torts or land law and the law of trusts, but (subject to the overall teaching requirements described above) other combinations may be acceptable. A shared teaching room will be made available.

The stipend will be on the scale £9,093-9,935, subject to revision in line with any general salary increases, together with certain benefits and allowances.

However, applicants should ask their referees to write directly to the College by the closing date.
