The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk of the Privy Council that Her Majesty The Queen, at a Council held on 19 April 2000, was pleased to approve the amendment of Statute D which was submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 4 of 27 October 1999. The amendment introduced the office of University Senior Lecturer into the Cambridge structure of academic offices (see Reporter, 1998-99, p. 782).
Following the approval of the amendment to the Statute, the regulations for the office of University Senior Lecturer which were proposed in the General Board's Report will now come into effect. The Report included stipends and scales of stipends current in June 1999. It is hoped to publish figures for 2000-01 during the Easter Term.
