The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that Her Majesty The Queen has approved the appointment of Mr D. J. Ibbetson, M.A., Ph.D., CC, University Lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, as Regius Professor of Civil Law from 1 October 2000 in succession to Professor D. E. L. Johnston.
