Applications are invited for the above post, tenable from 1 August 2000. The person appointed will serve as Director of the College's Junior Year Abroad Programme, and will be expected to pursue a programme of research. The Director is responsible for the administration of the programme, which has a maximum of fifteen American students in residence in Oxford during any one term; responsibilities include the selection of students and monitoring their progress. The Director is not required to undertake any teaching. The appointment will be for three years, with the possibility of renewal for a further three years, and is on an incremental scale (Research Staff 1A), commencing on the sixth point, currently £20,811; free housing is also provided.
