On the recommendation of the Board of Land Economy the General Board have agreed to permit Mr I. J. Chapman, of Jesus College, to offer Paper 3 in Part IB of the Land Economy Tripos in 2000, notwithstanding proviso 1 of Regulation 14 for the Tripos. Mr Chapman received incorrect advice about the examination requirements and has been preparing for this paper, although because he obtained honours in Part IA of the Engineering Tripos he was not eligible to offer Paper 3. The General Board have received a plea of incuria from Mr Chapman's Tutor.
