The Faculty Board of English wish to clarify their notice in Reporter, 1998-99, p. 915, in which they amended the supplementary regulations for Part I of the English Tripos so as to discontinue Russian as a subject of examination in Paper 7. As this amendment took effect from 1 October 2000 it will first apply to candidates who are preparing for the examination in 2002.
