Corpus Christi College and Brasenose College

LECTURERSHIP IN PHILOSOPHY

The two Colleges propose to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer in Philosophy for Michaelmas Term 2000 and Hilary Term 2001 (1 October 2000-31 March 2001), during the tenure of AHRB research leave by Dr J. Tasioulas. The Lecturer will be required to teach up to an average of twelve hours a week (six for each College) in at least two or three of the following central areas of Philosophy: Metaphysics and Theory of Knowledge, Moral Philosophy, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Logic and Language, History of Philosophy from Descartes to Kant, and Elementary Formal Logic. The salary will be £7,667 (i.e. £1,278 a month), subject to inflation uprating in October. The Lecturer will have a teaching room in Corpus Christi College, but will be entitled to free lunch and dinner during the week at both Colleges, except during closed periods.
