Grants from the Colleges Fund: Notice

The Council have received the following report from the Committee of Management of the Colleges Fund, which under Regulation 4 for the Fund (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 847) they now publish to the University.

1. The amount of money available in the Fund for distribution in 2000 is approximately £2.4m.

2. As indicated in the Council's Notice of 21 June 1999 (Reporter, 1998-99, p. 767) the grants payable in 2000 have been calculated on the same basis as for 1999.

3. The Committee of Management have approved the following grants to the corporate capital of Colleges, to be paid on 30 June 2000:

Lucy Cavendish 292,800
Magdalene 100,800
New Hall 184,800
Robinson 276,000
St Edmund's 220,800

TOTAL 2,400,000

4. The basis for future distributions, from 2000-2001 onwards, is currently being reviewed in the light of the agreed amendments to Statute G, II (see the Council's Report of 15 March 1999, Reporter, 1998-99, p. 472).
