COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

The College intends to appoint a College Lecturer and Fellow in English, with effect from 1 October 2000 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be expected to teach either Medieval Literature, or Literature from 1700-1830, or Literature from 1830 to the present. The closing date is 17 March 2000. It is expected that the College will hold interviews in late March or early April.

COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN HISTORY

The College intends to appoint a College Lecturer and Fellow in History, with effect from 1 October 2000 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications are invited from candidates with research interests in any field of Historical Studies, but preference may be given to candidates with an interest in a major area of Part I of the Historical Tripos. The closing date is 24 March 2000. It is expected that the College will hold interviews in mid-April.

In each case, the stipend will be on the scale £16,286-£22,579 a year (under review), together with the usual privileges of a Fellowship. The posts will be tenable for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for a further two years.
