In accordance with Regulations 17 and 18 for the Mathematical Tripos (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 319), the Examiners give notice that they have approved additional titles for essays as follows:
Flow in Collapsible Tubes and its Biomedical Applications
Global Solutions of Nonlinear Wave Equations
The High-dimensional Poincaré Conjecture
Spaces of Negative Curvature
The original list was published in Reporter, p. 177, on Wednesday, 24 November 1999.
Candidates contemplating offering an essay listed in this Notice should note that it is essential to consult the supplementary booklet containing advice about these essays. This has been circulated; further copies can be obtained from the Faculty Office.
The Examiners take the opportunity to mention that there are no additional papers this year. They also wish to point out that in the original list of papers (Reporter, p. 176) the paper listed with the title 'Waves in Fluids' should have had the title 'Acoustics and Stability'.
