The following elections, appointments, and reappointment have been made:

Elections

Professor H. Furstenberg, B.A., M.S., Yeshiva, Ph.D., Princeton, Professor of Mathematics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, elected Rothschild Visiting Professor in the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences from 8 February 2000 to 7 March 2000.

Mr L. Brey, Ph.D., Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, elected BBV Foundation Visiting Fellow from 17 April 2000 to 16 June 2000, assigned to the Department of Physics.
