The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has received the following nominations for election to the Council in class (b) (Professors and Readers) to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Professor B. F. G. Johnson (see Reporter, p. 306), and that it has been certified to him that the candidates have consented to be nominated:
Professor A. Hopper, CC,
nominated by Professor I. M. Leslie, CHR, and Professor S. J. N. Dawson, SID.
Professor M. Pepper, T,
nominated by Professor M. S. Longair, CLH, and Professor R. N. Perham, JN.
The election will be conducted by postal ballot. Voting papers will be distributed, together with the statements provided by candidates, on or before Friday, 18 February. The last date for the return of voting papers will be Tuesday, 29 February.
