Balliol College and Brasenose College

TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP IN MODERN HISTORY (MEDIEVAL)

Balliol College and Brasenose College propose to appoint a Tutorial Fellow in Modern History, with effect from 1 October 2000. The Fellowship will be tenable at Balliol College, and will be held in conjunction with a Lecturership at Brasenose College, and with a Titular University Lecturership (CUF), for which no separate applications are required.

Applicants should be qualified to contribute to the tutorial teaching of the Colleges in Medieval History, both British and European, from the early medieval era to the fourteenth century. Candidates should also be willing to contribute to the teaching strength of the History Faculty, within the period 350-900, and preference may be given to candidates with research interests in this area. The joint salary for the post will be on an age-related scale, up to a maximum of £38,412. Additional College allowances are available.
