Notice of benefactions

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice of the following benefactions to the University, which he has accepted with gratitude:

(a) A benefaction of £3,946, which has been donated by the organizers of a conference in honour of Professor Gareth Jones, to fund a prize in the Law of Restitution, to be awarded on the results of the LL.M. Examination.
(b) An offer by the Employment, Pensions, and Benefits Department of Freshfields, which forms part of the London firm of solicitors of that name, to make an annual donation of £500 to fund a prize in Advanced Trust Law, to be awarded on the results of the LL.M. Examination.

The Council are submitting Graces to the Regent House (Graces 1 and 2, p. 436) for the approval of regulations to govern these prizes.
