Hertford College

BARING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

The College proposes to elect up to three Senior Scholarships at a value of £500 a year, with certain dining rights. They are intended to be supplementary awards, open to men and women graduates of any university (including any College at Oxford), who are about to begin working for a higher degree or diploma at Oxford. There is no restriction as to subject.

CARRERAS SENIOR STUDENTSHIP

The College proposes to elect a Carreras Senior Studentship in Natural Science at a value of £500 a year, with certain dining rights. This is intended to be a supplementary award, open to men and women graduates of any university (including any College at Oxford), who are about to begin working for a higher degree or diploma at Oxford in any of the natural sciences.

The Scholarships and the Studentship will be tenable from 1 October 2000 for two years in the first instance, and may be extended to three years. Candidates graduating this summer are eligible for election. They are also open to graduate students at Hertford College who have already begun working for their higher degrees.

In each case, applications (five copies) should reach the College Secretary, Hertford College, Oxford, OX1 3BW, by 14 February 2000, including a statement of the candidate's qualifications and intentions. Two referees should be asked to send references to the College Secretary by 14 February 2000. There is no application form.
