The Development Studies Committee give notice that the following subjects for examination have been withdrawn from the list announced in the Reporter, 1998-99, p. 809, for the academical year 1999-2000. The Committee are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for the examination is adversely affected by these changes.
Subject 16: National planning and economic policy (Subject 5 from the examination in Land Economy).
Subject 17: Land and food policies for low-income countries (Subject 6 from the examination in Land Economy).
Subject 21: The African development experience.
The Committee also give notice that the following subjects for examination have been added to the list announced in the Reporter, 1998-99, p. 809, for the academical year 1999-2000:
Ecological and environmental economics (Subject 11 from the examination in Land Economy): to be examined by means of a three-hour written paper.
Public policy making and evaluation (Subject 12 from the examination in Land Economy): to be examined by means of a three-hour written paper.
Economic issues in contemporary Latin America (Paper 4 from the examination in Latin-American Studies): to be examined by means of four 2,000-word essays.
