Music in the Fitzwilliam Museum

An evening concert, entitled Music through four centuries of time, will be given by the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, at 7.30 p.m. on Friday, 28 January, in Gallery III. The concert will include music by Purcell, Mozart, Haydn, Glazunov, and Shostakovich. To book tickets (£15; £12 for Friends and concessions), contact 01223 503333.

A promenade concert by Poppy Walshaw, cellist, will be given at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, 22 January, in Gallery III. She will play music by Brahms and Paganini. Admission is free.
