George W. Shaw will speak on Academical dress: some anomalies, at 8.45 p.m. on Thursday, 27 January, in the Thirkill Room, Clare College. All members of the University are welcome. The dress for meetings is jacket and tie with gown. Those wishing to dine with the speaker (£6 including wine) should contact the Senior Treasurer, Dr Wright (tel. 01223 356388) by 5 p.m. on the preceding Tuesday.
