Churchill College

AEA TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP OR BYE-FELLOWSHIP IN TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT STUDIES

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Research Fellowship or Bye-Fellowship in the field of innovation, technology, and knowledge management in medium to large technology-based businesses. The successful candidate will develop an understanding of how businesses manage knowledge and innovation to build sustained company growth. The Fellowship or Bye-Fellowship is sponsored by AEA Technology plc, a broad-based science and engineering company with 4,500 employees and a turnover of £300m. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. Degree in a science-based subject, be keen on technological innovation, and have an active interest in commercial affairs. He or she may have some business background. The Fellowship is tenable for three years from 1 October 2000; the Bye-Fellowship is tenable for one year from a negotiable date during 2000. The Fellowship or Bye-Fellowship carries full membership of Churchill College, which was founded in 1960 with a special commitment to science and technology.

Although the Research Fellowship election process will not be completed until early May 2000, candidates in the field specified above may be approached by Churchill College at an early date in 2000 with a view to possible appointment to a Bye-Fellowship.
