Trinity Hall

STEPHEN HAWKING FELLOWSHIP IN THE MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES

The College intends to make the first election to its newly endowed Stephen Hawking Fellowship in Mathematical Sciences, with effect from 1 January 2000 (or at a date to be agreed with the successful applicant). Applications are invited from those with a research interest in Theoretical Physics. The stipend would be on the scale £15,735-£21,815 a year. The Fellow will also be appointed to a College Lectureship. The post will be tenable for five years, and the incumbent will work in close association with the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics in the University.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a statement of research, and the names of two referees, should be sent to the Senior Tutor, Trinity Hall, Cambridge, CB2 1TJ, from whom further details may be obtained, by 13 November 1999. Candidates should ask their referees to write direct to the Senior Tutor by this date.
