Fitzwilliam College

FELLOWSHIP AND COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN MATHEMATICS

Fitzwilliam College invites applications for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in Mathematics from 1 October 2000. The post is primarily for a Pure Mathematician or a Statistician, but applications from Applied Mathematicians will not be excluded. The appointment, which is open to men and women, will be for a period of three years with the possibility of reappointment for two years. Further periods of reappointment may be possible, but will depend on the College's continued need for the post as well as on the individual's performance in it. The College follows an equal opportunities policy. It will not restrict its consideration to applicants seeking a full-time appointment. Applications for part-time (or job share) appointments will be welcomed. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduates for the Cambridge Mathematics Tripos.

The pensionable stipend of a College Lecturer will be at a point in the range £17,238 to £22,579, depending on age and experience.

Before applying please consult the further particulars on the College's website (http://www.fitz.cam.ac.uk/mathematics_lectureship.html) or send a self-addressed envelope to the Master's Secretary, Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, CB3 ODG, for further particulars. Applications should be sent to the Master no later than Thursday, 28 October 1999.
