Cambridge European Trust

VACATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CAMBRIDGE STUDENTS IN EUROPE

The Cambridge European Trust offers scholarships for undergraduate and Graduate Students of the University (including those currently in their final year of study) tenable in the Christmas, Easter and Long Vacations 1999-2000, towards the cost of academically valuable activities undertaken by Cambridge students in European countries, widely defined (and not limited to Western Europe).

Purposes such as attendance at intensive short courses offered by European universities, intensive courses in languages for non-linguists, and scientific work in European laboratories could be supported. Vacation courses organised by Cambridge faculties and departments are not normally included.

The value of awards will be determined according to the cost of the activity and the other resources available to the student, but awards are expected to be in the range of £250 to £500. Those offered awards are expected to submit a short written report on their return.

Application forms are available from the Trust's website at http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/units/cet/scholarships.html or from the Secretary, Cambridge European Trust, University Offices, The Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TN. They should be returned by 8 November 1999 for Christmas Vacation Scholarships, 14 February 2000 for Easter Vacation Scholarships, and 16 May 2000 for Long Vacation Scholarships. Decisions will be made as soon as possible after the closing dates.
