The Clinical School IT Support Service wishes to appoint a Computer Associate to work in a team providing first line IT support for University Departments based at the Addenbrooke's site. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting PC and MAC workstations and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software running under Windows 95, 98, and NT workstation is also required. The post-holder will also be expected to take a lead role in the operation of central servers (running on NT) and to assist in development work such as setting up and testing new services. Training may be offered where necessary. Appointment will be for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment. Salary will be at the level of Computer Associate, Grade III, currently £18,915 to £24, 479 a year.
