DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH SUPPORT SERVICES

Applications are invited for the newly created post of Director of Research Support Services in the University of Cambridge, for appointment from 1 January 2000 or earlier if possible. The Director of Research Support Services will be responsible to the Treasurer for managing and enhancing the research support and development services provided to academic staff, including industrial liaison and assistance with technology transfer. Applicants should have a successful track record in managing research and in leading and managing staff. Graduate or equivalent, they should have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience of the Higher Education sector would be an advantage. The appointment, based in central Cambridge, will be for three years in the first instance. The salary will be up to £56,925 a year, according to qualifications and experience.
