NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK CO-ORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

The University of Cambridge seeks to appoint a part-time Co-ordinator for National Science Week 2000. National Science Week is the University's largest public programme of lectures, workshops, and interactive science events, attended by over 25,000 people. The position is part-time, involving two days a week until Christmas, then building up to full-time until the event itself, and finishing by the end of April 2000. The successful applicant is likely to have excellent event management skills, energy, and an enthusiasm for communicating the excitement of science to a general audience. A scientific background is desirable. The University's Press and Publications Office will provide public relations and sponsorship support for the position. The Co-ordinator will be part of the Press and Publications Office, but there is the possibility of working from home.

Salary will be approximately 50 per cent pro rata of the annual salary range for an Administrative Officer, Grade II: £18,275-£23,651.
