Report of the General Board on the establishment of an office of Director of Medical and Veterinary Education in the Faculty of Biology: Notice

The Council have considered the remarks made by Dr Evans at the Discussion of this Report on 8 June 1999 (Reporter, p. 761). Dr Evans indicated that she did not wish to delay the present proposals, and the Council are therefore submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 7, p. 800) for the approval of the recommendations of the Report.

The Council will ask the General Board to consider the questions raised by Dr Evans, in so far as these fall within the General Board's sphere of responsibility. They note that a request has been received for a Discussion on the subject of unestablished appointments (see the Registrary's Notice, p. 766); they intend to address the issues to which Dr Evans has drawn attention when they come to consider the remarks made at that Discussion.
