COMPUTER ASSOCIATE (PART-TIME, 0.4)

A Computer Associate, Grade III, is required to take up appointment on 30 August to provide computing support for the Research Centre for English and Applied Linguistics. Duties will involve the purchasing and maintenance of Departmental computers (PC and Mac), implementation and maintenance of a simple local area network, and offering help and advice to students and staff with computing difficulties. The ideal candidate would be an articulate and approachable person, with both PC and Mac experience, and with experience of LANs.

The pensionable salary for a Computer Associate, Grade III, is on a scale ranging from £18,275 to £23,651 a year (full-time). Hours to be worked will be negotiable but there is a preference for two days a week or four mornings a week. The limit of tenure is two years in the first instance.
