Wolfson Industrial Liaison Office

Two enthusiastic Contract Officers are sought to help the University manage and broaden its portfolio of funding from industry. These posts offer considerable scope for contributing to the development of the services offered by the Industrial Liaison Office to the academic community in Cambridge. The successful candidates will be numerate and skilled communicators both orally and in writing. They will have developed a familiarity with legal documentation through relevant experience in an educational or commercial environment, and will have the ability to prioritize a varied workload. The appointees will work as part of a team responsible for the negotiation of the University's industrial research contracts, its consultancy portfolio, and the commercialization of intellectual property. The Office operates on a Macintosh network and the appointees will need to have the necessary IT skills required to carry out the responsibilities. The appointments will be for an initial period of three years.

The salaries for both posts will be within the scales available to Administrative Officers, currently £18,275-£23,651 or £21,815-£26,523 a year, depending on age, qualifications, and experience.

Letters of application with curriculum vitae, containing the details of three referees, should be sent to The Director, Wolfson Liaison Office, 20 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA, by 9 July 1999.

The University follows an equal opportunities policy.
