Election to the Board of Scrutiny: Notice

18 May 1999

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has received the following nominations for election to the Board of Scrutiny, and that it has been certified to him that each candidate has consented to be nominated:

Class (c)(i) (members of the Regent House under the age of thirty-five)

Dr R. H. Lachmann, CL, is nominated by Dr M. N. A. Bockmuehl, F, and seconded by Professor A. C. Minson, W.

Class (c)(ii) (members of the Regent House chosen without limit of age)

Mr D. R. Howarth, CL, is nominated by Professor A. M. Snodgrass, CL, and seconded by Mr R. J. Stibbs, DOW.

Dr S. E. Lintott, DOW, is nominated by Professor A. M. Snodgrass, CL, and seconded by Mr R. J. Stibbs, DOW.

Dr O. Rackham, CC, is nominated by Professor A. M. Snodgrass, CL, and seconded by Mr R. J. Stibbs, DOW.

No other persons having been nominated, the candidates named above are duly elected to serve for four years from 1 October 1999. The election previously announced (Reporter, p. 492) will not now take place.
