Preliminary Examinations, 2000

The following amendments of the regulations and the supplementary regulations for the several Preliminary Examinations (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 219) have been made by the authorities concerned, and have been approved by the General Board; these amendments will take effect from 1 October 1999 and relate to the examinations to be held in 2000.

ECONOMICS

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

Paper 3.

By replacing in the third paragraph the words 'countries including Japan, China, and Brazil, during the period covered in the lectures for this course' by the words 'countries to be announced by the Faculty Board at the beginning of the Michaelmas Term'.

EDUCATION STUDIES

Regulation 2.

By deleting the first paragraph, including the references to Section I and Section II, and by deleting in the second paragraph the words 'For this section'.

NATURAL SCIENCES

Regulation 3(b).

By replacing in the list of subjects the entry 'Making modern medicine' by the following entries:

  History of medicine from antiquity to the Enlightenment
  Modern medicine and biomedical sciences
