Examination in Theology for the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course)

On the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Divinity, and with the approval of the General Board and the Board of Graduate Studies, the regulations for the examination in Theology for the M.Phil. Degree (one-year course) (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 487) have been amended as set out below. The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Examiners, in appropriate cases, to waive the requirement for an oral examination. This amendment takes immediate effect; the Faculty Board are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for the examination in 1999 is adversely affected. The regulations have been amended as follows:

Regulation 3.

By adding at the end of the regulation the following clause: ', save that the Examiners may, at their discretion, waive the requirement for an oral examination'.
