Selwyn College

RAMSAY MURRAY LECTURE

Mr John Keegan, OBE, will give the fourth Ramsay Murray Lecture, on How will peace change the world?, at 5.15 p.m. on Friday, 30 April, in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Avenue. All are welcome.

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for the post of Development Director at Selwyn College, from 1 October 1999. He/she will take responsibility for a continuing fundraising campaign, including a major appeal, starting in 2000. The appointee will also be expected to lead all aspects of fundraising work, in conjunction with the Master and Fellows, including fundraising with alumni and other sources of possible support.

The post offers challenging responsibilities in a lively College environment. Previous experience of fundraising is essential and applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have the personal qualities to manage an operation of this kind. The stipend is expected to be in excess of £30,000 with member- ship of the Universities Superanuation Scheme. The appointment will be for five years, subject to a review after three years. It is expected that the Development Director will be elected a Fellow of the College.
