Careers Service

INFORMATION OFFICER

The Careers Service requires someone with excellent organizational skills to help run its well-resourced information service, to start on 1 May or as soon as possible thereafter. Candidates should possess a degree and relevant experience in information work, be imaginative, with good communication skills, and be adept at coping with pressure (over 3,000 users in busy weeks). In addition to staff management and training experience, the successful candidate will have extensive IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets and word-processing. E-mail and web experience would be helpful; experience in the management and presentation of information an advantage.

Salary will be on a scale from £18,275 to £23,651 a year. The appointment will be for five years in the first instance.
