Queens' College

COLLEGE LECTURER IN ENGLISH

The College seeks to appoint a College Lecturer in English. The post will carry a Fellowship and will be tenable for three years in the first instance from 1 October 1999, subject to a statutory probationary period of two years. Principal teaching duties will be in the fields of Renaissance or Literature from 1830 to the present day. The pensionable stipend of a College Lecturer who has no other emoluments is at present related to age, ranging from £16,530 at twenty-five to £27,400 at forty-one. There are other payments associated with a Fellowship and various obligations to undertake College duties.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae and a statement of research, should be sent to the Senior Tutor, Queens' College, Cambridge, CB3 9ET, from whom further details may be obtained. Applicants should ask two referees to write directly to the Senior Tutor not later than 23 April 1999. The closing date for receipt of applications is 16 April 1999.
