Historical Tripos, Part II, 2000: Notice

The Faculty Board of History give notice that they have amended their announcement of subjects for Part II of the Historical Tripos, 2000 (Statutes and Ordinances, pp. 302 and 305, Reporter, 1997-98, p. 711) as follows:

By amending the title of Paper 18

from 'No subject specified'

to 'Historical anthropology in early modern Europe'.

The Faculty Board are satisfied that no candidate's preparation will be adversely affected by this amendment.

Candidates for Part II in 2000, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and

(a) who did not offer in that Part a paper falling mainly in the period before 1750, may meet the requirement to take a pre-1750 paper in Part II by offering either Paper 18 or one of the Special Subjects A, C, D, E, and G, or one of Papers 3, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 23, and 28 as previously announced,
(b) who did not offer in that Part a paper in European History, may meet the requirement to take a European History paper in Part II by offering either Paper 18 or one of Papers 12, 14, 15, 20, and 21 as previously announced.
