Philosophical Society

On Monday, 1 March, at 8.30 p.m. in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor J. A. Todd, of the Department of Medical Genetics, will deliver a lecture entitled Common disease: a legacy of survival of the species. All who are interested are invited.

At a meeting held on 15 February, Dr A. J. Munro, President, was in the Chair. Professor N. J. Hitchin, FRS, of the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, delivered a lecture entitled The 28 bitangents and other stories. A vote of thanks to the speaker was moved by Dr J. M. E. Hyland.
