Examinations in Applied Criminology and Management (Prison Studies) and in Applied Criminology and Police Studies for the M.St. Degree

With the approval of the General Board, the Board of Graduate Studies, and the Board of Continuing Education, the regulations for the examinations in Applied Criminology and Management (Prison Studies) and in Applied Criminology and Police Studies for the M.St. Degree (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 501) have been amended as set out below. The Board of Continuing Education are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for either of these examinations in 1999 is adversely affected by this change. The regulations have been amended as follows:

By amending the last sentence in each case so as to read:

The examination shall include an oral examination on the thesis and on the general field of knowledge within which it falls; such an oral examination may include questions relating to one or more of the other pieces of work submitted by the candidate under (a) and (b) above.
