Cambridge University Press: Notice

CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND SECRETARY OF THE PRESS SYNDICATE

The Press Syndicate of the University of Cambridge is looking to appoint a Chief Executive and Secretary of the Syndicate to succeed Mr A. K. Wilson, who reaches retirement age in September 1999. Cambridge University Press is the printing and publishing house of the University of Cambridge; it is an educational charitable enterprise, responsible to the Press Syndicate, and one of the world's great international scholarly presses. It operates worldwide through a network of branches and offices, and issues over 2,000 new academic and educational publications each year. The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.

The Press Syndicate also expects to make a small number of other senior appointments in its printing and publishing businesses over the next year or so.
