A meeting of the society will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 2 February, in the Little Hall, Sidgwick Avenue, to consider the question Is there such a thing as 'Cambridge History'? The speakers will be Professor Patrick Joyce, of the University of Manchester, Professor Peter Burke, of Emmanuel College, Dr Christine Carpenter, of New Hall, Professor Peter Clarke, of St John's College, and Professor Gareth Stedman Jones, of King's College. All are welcome.
